2014 Montage

It feels like a lifetime ago but some of my favorite work I created was during my time at Create Advertising from 2008-2014. I was fresh out of college at SCAD and was working in a large team that fluctuated from 12-24 graphic artists at any given time. There was a constant rotation of freelancers that taught me so much about animation and life. This video is a collection of my favorite work from that time.

The biggest highlight was probably creating graphics for the Twisted Metal video game, a relaunch of a game I use to play as a kid. I learned so much about compositing during that time, mixing live-action footage with CG effects. Another was animating graphics for The Amazing Spiderman, Django and other movies before getting to see the trailers play on the big screen in LA. Working on movie trailers taught me how to animate fast and be resilient with revisions. The project that really made me feel like I arrived in the industry was was creating graphics for the Fight Club Blu-Ray re-release, a movie that inspired me to go to film school in the first place. It was then I knew I made the right career choice.

Looking back at this time I want to thank the many people who helped me during that pivotal time that helped shape the artist I am today. This includes, but is not limited to, Johnathan Gitlin, Jake Black, Kirin Robinson, Mario Hernandez, Kevin Blanchard, Carl Bogan, Fred Huelar, Trese Tamondong, Ryan Verseman, Moe Dean, Cassandra Krul, Annie Loye, Dan Pfister, Justin Hamilton, Catherine Gaynor, Kevin Snell, Ryan DeCarlo, Kevin Blanchard, Nora Jurasits and many many more. Bonus points if you can spot me below.
